ARCHITECTS IN THE MAKING – 2010 *AIM Summer Camp
*Architects In Making |
 |
SPONSOR A CHILD. We are heading into our 4th year providing our kids with a summer of an architectural experience and have made arrangements with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation Taliesin West of Scottsdale, Arizona to provide a summer educational program and enhance our AIM Summer Camp. We also have extended our program from one to two weeks. The extension of the program in 2010 will require extra funds in supplying the students with materials and field trips that would help the kids enjoy and receive a full experience in architecture. |
Over 160 kids from the ages of 8 to 14 have benefited from our AIM Summer Camp, which we provide free to all participants, targeting the inner city kids who might have less of an opportunity to be exposed to architecture. As architects we think back to what motivated us or who discovered the talent within us. We have an opportunity to motivate our kids to aspire to a career in architecture. To assists us in this vision we are providing the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation Taliesin West educational program, which will be a wonderful opportunity for the kids to be exposed to one of America’s most prestigious design school.
CALL TO OUR MEMBERS, SPONSORS AND FRIENDS of the AIA Miami Chapter. This year the AIM Summer Camp needs your help! Please join us in our efforts to raise $4,500 to make our Summer Camp once again a success by sending a donation to our AIA Miami Chapter office; you may contact us via email aiamia@bellsouth.net or by calling 305.448.7488. We thank you for your support and consideration to this request. Any donation amount is welcome and will be sincerely appreciated.
